A monologue recounting a weeks attempts to read the bible daily.

Performed as a personal testimony on a Sunday morning, this monologue brings out just a few of the excuses we use for not putting time aside to read our bible, or spend time with God every day of our busy lives.

I AM going to read my Bible

This last week I decided that I’m going to actually read my bible - properly. Now apparently the best way to read your bible is to put some time aside each day to do it, actually plan your day so that you have time to do it. So I decided to allocate fifteen minutes each day, which I figured should be easy enough to manage.  So on Monday evening, after I’d had my dinner and was ready to relax for the evening I settled down for my fifteen minutes. I was about to start reading, but then I had an idea. So I went on the internet and searched for ideas for the best way to read the bible. What I found was that I seemed to have the right idea and that putting a little time aside each day was the right way to go.  All in all I thought that was quite a good and productive first day and I felt really positive about the great start I had made.
So that was Monday.
