I paint straight from the spirit without thinking about what I'm doing. This one expresses my joy at the glory of Jesus' submission to God's will on our behalf - what we are too imperfect to do, he does for us.
The people at the foot of the cross include some known figures: Mary, Mary Magdalene, A Centurian, a beggar- but also me, and general people,, so you're in their too!
