Hi my name’s Jim

You know it’s good to remember things particularly when you get old like me.
It’s good to remember all the good stuff that has happened in your life.
I remember the day I got married it was one of the most special times in my life.
My wife looked absolutely beautiful as she glided down the aisle of the church.
Her face was full of life and beaming with a smile right across her face.
It’s an image that will stay with me for the rest of my life.
I prefer to remember that day because it was only a few weeks after I had got back from fighting in the war.
There I saw some really horrible things, things that I would soon rather forget.
But every November 11th I am reminded of the places I had been and the things I had seen.
I remember the friendships I had made with fellow soldiers but also the loss in battle of those I knew.
