If you have begun to use the high quality materials from the DFES guidance – Excellence and Enjoyment – Social and Emotional Aspect of Learning (SEAL) then these collective worship books will be the resource you have been waiting for!

a teacher’s dozen was written in response to many requests from teachers using the SEAL material and who now needed additional resources to enable them to incorporate the SEAL themes into the daily act of collective worship. a teacher’s dozen’ will help those who lead worship in church schools and community schools to bring the added dimension of spirituality into the SEAL themes. Our assemblies use bible stories to enhance and complement the SEAL National Primary Strategy, and each book contains twelve full scripts that can be used for assemblies and collective acts of worship.
Although they are scripted, we encourage you to make these assemblies your own and adapt them to your school’s needs.

'a teacher’s dozen' is an excellent means of supporting Social and Emotional Learning. Simple but effective acts of collective worship extend the range of resources available to schools in developing pupils’ confidence and self-esteem, and has been carefully planned to complement the SEAL programme.
