Before you contribute please check the personal information in your account is full and accurate. Ensure that your full name is correct, and include your current postal address (so that we know where to mail your royalty payments).

We welcome all levels of photographers and non-photographers, but reserve the right to decline files at our discretion, reasons may include: Poor Focus, Poor Lighting, Distortion, Cropping, Upsampling Images, Poor Composition, Copyright / Trademark Infringement or Risk, Adult Content, Profane or Violent content.

Uploading someone else's photographs or artwork is strictly prohibited and a violation of the membership agreement. You must be the copyright holder (original artist) of all work you submit. Uploading any of the following is strictly prohibited: A photograph of a photograph, A photograph that you didn't take, Items you found (on the web, from a book or magazine or other printed object), Stock photographs from other stock agencies, Tracing (illustrations) or creating unauthorized derivative work.

All images and video where an identifiable human face is present require model permission, If it is of a minor (a child under the age of 18), permission must be given by a parent or legal guardian. This is the contributor's responsibility to prove if necessary.

twelvebaskets accepts images files 800 x 600 pixels or larger. Any file smaller than 800 x 600 pixels will be declined. As a general rule for image sizes, the bigger the better (up to 10mb). We will not accept files that have been up-sampled (increasing the size / dpi to be larger than that of the original file size).

Keywords: Please add as many relevant keywords as you can as these will be used when visitors search for a product. The more keywords you enter increases the chance of your file being found.  Please seperate keywords with a ,

Themes: Please add one theme. The most relevant general category e.g. Transport, Nature or Object etc

When Uploading:

 When a file is being uploaded to the site you should see 'connecting' followed by the upload bar showing speed rate and %.  (as image below).  If it goes straight to Upload Complete without showing this bar then please try again.

CALCULATING ROYALTIES

Purchasable items: (Movies, PowerPoints, Music, Books etc) unless otherwise agreed with twelvebaskets, payments with be calculated as follows.  After operating costs are deducted, the balance with be split between the contributor and twelvebaskets on a 50/50 basis.  All of these items with be available to any site visitor on a buy now basis. 

Images and Written work:  Although any visitor to the site will be able to search and view thumbnails of all of the images and written pieces, only Gold members will be able to download and use them.
Gold membership currently costs £25 per year.

When a new Gold member joins, £8 of this fee is paid into the next 4 quarters contributors’ royalty holding fund.  At the end of the trading quarter, all the money in that months fund will be divided by the number of downloads in that trading period and split between the contributors who have had work downloaded in that quarter (One download = one share of that quarter’s royalty holding fund). Only one download per file, per member will be counted.

Payments: Payments are paid into the contributor’s website account.  The balance can be used in one of three ways:

• It can be donated to one or more of the sponsored charities

• When their balance totals more than £20, a contributor can request a cash payment
• Or any combination of the above.

Requests for cash payments must be submitted to twelvebaskets by the 15^th of the given month. Payments will be made at the end of the calendar month.
